I have worship music playing in the background as I write this. The constant hearing of truth and praises of God does something to my spirit. I find that when things are quiet, the verses of those songs as well as verses from the Bible play through my mind easily. It uplifts me and reminds me of Who I should look to. When my eyes are on Jesus, the things that once looked so daunting or hard become the “nothing is impossible with God.” We pray that this letter finds you well.
It’s hard to believe that 2019 is nearing its end. With Thanksgiving a couple of weeks away, we reflect on God’s amazing goodness and love. More than ever, we want to thank you for your prayers, care and support. Thank you for encouraging us. We could not be here without your partnership. Words just seem inadequate to express how we truly feel. THANK YOU!
Thankful for a God who heals and redeems! Last week, we had the privilege of being at the baptism of 8 of our ZOE children. One of the littlest shared that because she felt God’s love for her through her ZOE parents and family she wanted to believe in God and follow Him for her whole life. It was beautiful. Please continue to pray for our youth and children to grow in their faith and love for God and for others.
We see expressions of joy all the time at ZOE!

Thankful for great partnerships! Recently, Simpson “assistant-coached” a ZOE team as they participated in a soccer tournament sponsored by another NGO that combats human trafficking. Counsel General Sean O’Neill attended, and people came to cheer on their teams but were also educated on what they can do to help fight against trafficking.
ZOE Soccer team made up of staff. They took third place that day.
Thankful for the kindness of strangers! At the end of October, Simpson accompanied our Child Rescue team on outreaches to a remote area. It was a powerful, humbling and faith building time. Some of these villages are difficult to get to as they are deep in the mountains and their roads have deteriorated. During the outreaches our ZOE team taught human trafficking awareness and also got to share the good news of Jesus with attendees. It was also our mission to deliver new shoes to everyone along with food and clothing. By far the highlight of the experience was getting to hang out with the village residents who are so lovely, generous and kind. It’s a part of their culture to make sure visitors are highly honored. We were told that we were visiting poor villages but we could not tell by the way they looked after us. They gave so much from what little they had to make sure our team was well fed and cared for. As we were saying our goodbyes, they asked Simpson to share a few words of encouragement and to pray for the village.

1) A mosquito like insect the size of Simpson’s hand found at village. 2)One of four outreaches from that weekend.

ZOE truck and tent accommodations overlooking one of the villages. The beauty of God’s creation in the remoteness of places is splendid.
Thankful for you!
We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
