The last two months have flown by. Despite our daily challenges, we continue to be assured of God’s calling for us to be in Thailand and greatly enjoy the work we do. God is on the move and using ZOE in so many ways. Here are some of the amazing things God is doing.
Recently, ZOE received a recognition award from IJM (International Justice Mission) for our work in prevention and assisting victims of sexual abuse. Here is Fah, one of our amazing staff receiving the award on behalf of ZOE Thailand.

Most recently, we had the wonderful privilege of working with our USA joint short term team. We were especially excited to see our friends from City Church. Nancy and Sandra spent hours training and traveling to serve on this team. They are amazing! On an outreach to a neighboring province, along with ZOE staff and leadership training school students, 1,400 students and adults were educated in human trafficking prevention and 900 heard the Gospel for the very first time.

Arrival of our USA Joint Short Term Team. So much energy and joy!

Below are photos from the school outreach.
*** ZOE protects the identity and dignity of children and does not show our children’s faces. Any faces shown in photos are of children outside of ZOE. ***Below are photos from the school outreach.

1)Students are gathered as the program begins. This was the debut of our ZOE mascot.
2)US Short Term Team performing their song for students. Can you pick out Nancy and Sandra?
3)Our ZOE Mascot (guess who? hint: begins with “S” and rhymes with Dimpson) with students at another school after they all received goodie bags with snacks and necessities. Each reusable bag has our hotline phone number printed on it. Over the many years ZOE has been serving in Thailand, we have received tips and reports of children needing help via our hotline.

We also had the distinct privilege of doing some premarital counseling with a very precious young couple. They inspire and encourage us with their love for God, each other and their desire to serve Him.
Elli and John on their wedding day. It was a beautiful ceremony! Elli was a ZOE Missionary kid. She is the beautiful daughter of our good friends and fellow missionaries Cissy and Ron Boyer who are also from Hawaii.

Nancy and Sandra had very little spare time while serving here but we were able to meet up with them on their one night off.  We got 30-minute foot massages together while Molly was our therapy dog. In July we had a sweet, short visit from Jeannette and her daughter, Lisbeth (dear friends from Honolulu).  They were able to make a special detour to see us on their month-long Southeast Asia trip.  We got to hang out and have some fun with them.

We are so thankful for your regular financial gifts and prayer support, we are uplifted by your generosity and care.
