We pray this finds you well. As many of you know, one of the biggest concerns on the Global stage is the Corona Virus and its continued spread. We have been healthy and well although we see the effects of the virus on Thailand’s economy and people.

A few days ago, it was recommended by the Thai Government that upon returning from certain countries, a 14-day home quarantine is to be adhered to. As we talked and prayed, we’ve decided to postpone our trip back to Hawaii at this time. We have tremendous peace in this decision. It is not made from fear or anxiety. We continue to be affirmed in our call here to Thailand, its people and the work of ZOE International. We don’t want to be unable to return here should the travel bans increase. Though we have much peace, we are sad to not be able to see you in person. We look forward to when we do return for a visit.

February was a month on super steroids. It not only sped by, it was chock full of activity for us with three, yes 3 teams here! Praise God that all team members were healthy and well while here and are now back home with their loved ones and families.

Here are some highlights from this last month.

Simpson was part of an outreach to villages where over 1,600 students were reached with Human Trafficking Awareness and the Gospel. Our ZOE leadership students were able to pray with over 430 youth as they professed their faith in Jesus. This team was made up of amazing people from the US and Australia. What a gift and a blessing to get to know and work alongside them!

Our ZOE short term team, staff and leadership school students on their way to the outreach.

Distributing goodie bags at one of the schools during the outreach. These reusable bags have school supplies, snacks and most importantly the bags are printed with ZOE’s contact information and our hotline. ***ZOE protects the identity and dignity of children and does not show trafficked children.***

ZOE has partnered with Children’s Hunger Fund for many years. With their support, ZOE has been able to partner with many Pastors all over Thailand in mercy ministry and the Gospel. The food boxes provided by CHF allow leaders in these remote and impoverished villages to give much needed food and supplies to families in need. Many times, this opens the door for stories of Jesus and faith. CHF sent a wonderful group of people to visit our partnering churches and minister alongside Pastors in this network.
One of the things we do when teams are here is to have a special Thai style BBQ called Moogata. We have multiple mats set up each with its own little grill. Here is one of our staff manning the grill for those sharing her mat.
Finally, Simpson worked many long late hours with a specialty team that came from the U.S. who worked jointly with local Thai Police to see more children rescued.
It’s been a full month indeed!Thank you for your support of the work that we do with ZOE International! We are thankful for your prayers and partnership and could not be here without you.
Pray with us:
  • Please pray for the continued healing and complete restoration of the children under ZOE’s care.
  • Please pray for the nation and people of Thailand and those who have been negatively impacted by the Corona Virus and for opportunities to share hope and Jesus amidst the fear that surrounds this.
  • Our work continues to expand in Australia, Japan, Mexico, and the U.S. All these locations face the need for qualified and passionate individuals to join our team.
  • ZOE’s work continues to expand and we need increased funding to continue the work we are doing and the for the work ahead.
